We all know that how to reserve a ticket in online.But after booking a ticket so, many of us don't know how to change our boarding point.we can change our boarding point in IRCTC website for an online ticket.For Counter reservation ticket we have to fill and submit a boarding point change request form at station counter where ticket got reserved.
What is Change of Boarding Station
if you're unable to boarding the train at your boarding station which was mentioned in your ticket.then you should request for change boarding station before train chart prepared.otherwise they will check your present in your source station and mark you as absent.
Change Boarding station for online tickets

Login to IRCTC website and click on a link on booked ticket history.
Choose your ticket from your booked tickets list and click on change boarding station button.
Select any between station as a new boarding point from your original boarding point.
Click on Save button to confirm your destination details.
Change Boarding station for Counter tickets
Go to Railway station where the ticket was booked
Take change boarding station request form from the station counter and fill your destination station details.
